Welcome back to the small screen, Mack!
VH1 has officially decided to move its drama film, The Breaks, to a new episodic series later this year. The hip-hop movie, based on Dan Charnas’ best-selling book, aired last month and went to garner 2 million viewers during its premiere; as well as an extra five throughout the initial week.
Starring, Mack Wilds, Wood Harris, Method Man, Afton Williamson and Antoine Harris among others – most of the cast is expected to return to the series, along with DJ Premier expected to continue his duties of composing music. The 1990s nostalgia film left many in limbo, regarding its ending of three young inspired friends looking to get their big break in music industry – in the midst of danger traveling towards them throughout the city. Look for more details this summer on when the season premiere will air and if its main characters will reprise their roles.
