March 22, 2019 / July 24, 2020
Earlier this year, Warner Bros. officially confirmed that their Godzilla and King Kong crossover film would be arriving at the start of next decade. However, with Kong: Skull Island still set to hit theaters next March, news regarding immediate follow-up efforts have officially been announced. Unfortunately, Godzilla 2 two has now been pushed back from 2018 to March 22, 2019, and the epic battle for Godzilla vs. Kong is set to hit the big screen on May 29, 2020.
In related rumors, Warner also set dates for an untitled Christmas Day 2018 release and also moved a previously dated June 19, 2020 title to July 24. Interesting enough, fans of the DC Universe are believing that the summer 2020 major release is set to be the official Green Lantern reboot.
While W.B. obviously won’t confirm anything this year most likely, look for details to possible arrive later this summer at Comic-Con. Look for Kong: Skull Island out next year on March 10, 2017.
