Are you interested in a modern King Kong vs. Godzilla film?
Over 50 years has passed since the original King Kong vs. Godzilla film. Universal Studios was originally planning to release King Kong: Skull Island in 2017, but Warner Bros. has now obtained the rights to the prequel project. Coincidentally, WB owns the sequel rights to Godzilla films and are plotting out a potential cross-over project with the two. As studios look to create universes, for multiple adaptions, spin-offs and crossovers at the box offices, this could be what Warner Bros. is looking for to complement their in-house DC Comics Universe.
