Follow the money in 2016 for BILLIONS!
Since Homeland premiered in 2011, Showtime is still looking for a hit-series that will connect with the masses. Although we’ve seen The Affair, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex and House of Lies in recent years, somehow, those series haven’t connected with the mainstream. The CBS-subsidiary network is looking to recapture its magic from the 2000s, with the unveiling of their new drama series, BILLIONS.
Starring Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis, the New York City based series reminds of a modern-day version of The Wolf of Wall Street, throughout its first trailer. Giamatti assumes the role of U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades, who’s on a mission to take down a ruthless Manhattan hedge fund, Axe. While the trailer above leaves us intrigued of what to expect next year, only time will tell if this upcoming series is savior for Showtime Networks.
Look for the contemporary drama Billions to invade Showtime sometime in 2016.
