Last weekend, HBO premiered the long-awaited pilot episode of their new music drama series, Vinyl. Created by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese, the new 1970s-based show focuses on a music executive by the name of Richie Finestra, who’s looking for his big break.
Plagued with drugs, alcohol and obvious violence looming around the city of New York, Richie uses his hustling and street smarts to work around the town’s diverse music scene.
Whether or not he has an imminent downfall isn’t the question, given the situation, but find we’ll find out if he’s able to overcome impossible obstacles throughout the series.
