About a year ago, we caught an ABC News report about two 12-year old Wisconsin girls who stabbed their friend and classmate in the woods 19 times on accounts of the “Slender Man.”
The two girls found the tall tale of the Slender Man online and believed it was real. They wanted to become his followers and live in his mansion (and/or hurt their families) and the only way this could happen was by killing someone. So the two middle schoolers etched out a plan and executed it. They pinned her down after a game of hide-and-seek and stabbed her all over her body then left her for dead. Their classmate was “one millimeter away from certain death,” but luckily, she crawled to the nearest street where a bicyclist saw her and called 9-1-1.
The two girls charged for attempted homicide are now 14 years old have gone through court proceedings, mental institutions and HBO has done a documentary about the story. You can check out the trailer up top and stay tuned for Beware The Slender Man to hit the network soon.
