Hear us out for a second. Neil Patrick Harris just ended his run at How I Met Your Mother. He is beloved by many and hosting isn’t out of his repertoire. He’d be more than entertaining five times a week, but it would set him back if he wanted to chase the movie career or dabble some more in acting. It would be a long term gig, and he’d be giving up a lot of dreams and goals he may still be thinking about pursuing, especially now that he has free time since HIMYM is done.
But he is under the CBS umbrella, so he could always keep it in the family.
