Rapper Beanie Sigel Sigel who reports to prison in exactly two weeks for a two-year bid, was arrested once again today. Earlier this morning in Delaware County, Beans (passenger) and Gerald Andrews were pulled over by a state trooper for following another car too closely and swerving out of the lane. During a routine body search for weapons and contraband’s, the trooper found several prescription bottles, pills wrapped in plastic bags and a small amount of marijuana on marijuana on Andrews. On Sigel, they found a bottle of codeine with the prescription label scratched.
Both men were immediately taken in to custody as policed searched the vehicle and found a gun. Since both men were already convicted felons, they were charged with weapon violations as well as drugs.
In Sigel’s last prison stint, he served a year in 2005 for illegally possessing a gun. While serving his time, Beanie failed to pay almost $400K worth of taxes on $1M income from 2003-2005. Failure in reporting taxes lead to his upcoming 24-month sentence which starts Sept. 12th. Whether beans receives more time on top of the two-year sentence remains to be seen, but we can assure you he won’t forget to pay his taxes while locked up.
The Philly emcees sixth studio album “This Time” is now in stores and iTunes.
Keep your head up Beans.
