It’s been roughly nine years since the empire that was Roc-A-Fella Records came to an abrupt end. The house that Dame Dash and Jay-Z built was once considered one of the most elite record labels in the industry, ranked among the likes of Death Row and Bad Boy Records in their respective heydays. Fast forward to 2013, Dame Dash is in a much different environment. One that not many thought he would be involved in, but one Dame himself says he enjoys being apart of.
Stopping by The Combat Jack Show, Dame Dash cleared the air on everything under his sun. From his children and why he had his first kid at 19, how he got his first start in the industry and why he’s done with it now, to why his personality was a tough one to get along with and though may not have caused some of the problems, may not have helped either. For over two hours, discussion about anything and everything behind the scenes gets aired out.
We’ll let you hear it for yourself, but where the interview gets interesting is when Dame and Just Blaze start discussing their time spent together at Roc-A-Fella, as an adequate picture of the personalities that were under the same roof is revealed. One thing is for certain, the knowledge Dame Dash procured during his tenancy in the music industry is immense. Take two hours and learn yourself something.
