In part two of their sitdown, Jay-Z and BBC’s Zane Lowe discuss the fame that comes with the lifestyle Hov has chosen to live. They discuss the intro (“Holy Grail“) being the map for the album and why it sets the tone for the rest of MCHG. Jay also talks about trying to find a middle ground with fame and what it really means to him, being a symbol for hope and inspiration to multiple generations but still wishing he could live a “normal life”, taking the blame for creating new revenue streams for music but not fully understanding why some have been up in arms about it, and the two briefly discuss Kanye‘s recent role in creating polarizing music.
Stay tuned for part three, Business & Politics.
