Michael K. Williams Reveals The Playlist He Listened To For Omar Little From The Wire

Most know Michael K. Williams from The Wire as the ruthless street heist-extraordinaire of “Omar,” and most recently, “Chalky” from Boardwalk Empire. In a recent interview with New York Magazine, Williams revealed that he makes a playlist for every character he plays on screen, to get him in the zone in between scenes.

“Music for me is a portal. Once I’ve gone to that dimension and I’m there, whatever got me there, I just loop those songs. The moment they call ‘cut,’ they’re right back on.”

He also mentioned that there is Nas music in about 90% of every playlist he makes.
