The Legendary Roots Crew drummer, Questlove, is always known of his vast knowledge all things music related so it was only right that Vanity Fair sat down with him to discuss such things. For their latest episode of The Snobs Dictionary, Vanity Fair got Questlove talks about his process before any of his DJ gigs. He reveals his preparation starts about 7 hours before any event so he can make the event much more than just a DJ pushing play on random songs. Questo also talks about a special Michael Jackson record that he plays for his students (because he’s also a professor at NYU, in case you forgot) and why that select record removes all “iconic” status from the performer and really solidifies his mark as the greatest entertainer in history.
