Hot Since 82
Yorkshire producer/DJ Hot Since 82 has been a shining light for house music in recent years. Having seen him a number of times, including two weeks before Bestival, I was eager to catch him in an outdoors location. Beginning at 7pm, a 90-minute slot gave him a chance to entertain/ease the crowd into the gradual sundown, who, like many DJs across the weekend, chose not to play tracks that have put him in the vision of the public eye. Instead, a focused set that could have easily been played in the early hours, with dancers and a crane carrying an acrobat across the crowd.
