2pac vs. Lady Rage beef story explained, as the former Death Row Records rep opens up for the first ever on the situation. In the mid-90s, the Lady of Rage was keeping things active for Suge Knight’s label, alongside The Dogg Pound. With Snoop fighting a murder charge and Dr. Dre in limbo, Suge signed 2pac in the spring of 95.
At the time, The Dogg Pound had their material ready to go, but Lady of Rage’s album wasn’t complete. Everything shifted focus towards 2pac, as the company wanted to get a bag from the buzz surrounding his name. However, Pac had to speak out on his foes, and wanted The Lady of Rage involved.
Shockingly, she was one of the few people to stand up to 2pac and tell him she wouldn’t partake in dissing Bad Boy Records. Unlike Snoop and Dr. Dre, who partook in the situation, Rage had a falling out with Pac.
However, a few months before his passing, the two gained mutual respect for each other; when he realized she was real. It got to the point where Pac wanted her on the East/West coast album, One Nation, which she was undecided whether to appear on it.
