Stacked up against the rest of his catalog, Prince’s appearance on 3RDEYEGIRL might not live up to expectations but it still has elements from his classic albums. At this point in the game, there’s no hating on Prince either way. “Fixurlifeup” is an aggressive tune which throws plenty of darts at America, boy bands and everyone in the path and not in a disgruntled way, but it takes more of a “we want better for you” approach.
Plus, it’s catchy. Who wouldn’t want to yell “YOU NEED TO FIXURLIFEUP!” to someone if they really needed to? There’s plenty of folks that deserve it.
