Solo Material
Despite their success as a group, they each have their respective solos careers. Taking a break from Dilated Peoples setlist, Evidence, Rakaa and DJ Babu took a moment to get down with their individual grind, which has helped shape their work from the early ’90s until the present day. Babu showed everyone what he was made of on the turntable, while Ev and Rakaa dived into tracks of their own, including the DJ Premier-produced “You.”
This part of the show was reminiscent to D’Angelo at the Roundhouse last month, who ended his set with each member of the band doing a solo.
