Curtis James Jackson III sues William Leonard Roberts II

Last month, Rick Ross was on a heavy freestyle campaign for his Renzel Remixes series. However, now the Miami-based rapper could see a hiccup in his bank account, with 50 Cent officially filing a $2 million dollar lawsuit in Connecticut Federal Court earlier this afternoon.

According to documents from the courts, Curtis James Jackson III’s complaint is William Leonard Roberts II using his name and identity to advertise his recently released album, Black Market. The lawsuit stems from Rozay’s freestyle to Fifty’s “In The Club” single over the mixtape, as lawyers for the Queens rapper are seeking the large number for damages and injunction barring the use of any trademarks or work product created or produced – according to The Wall Street Journal.

This coincidentally comes directly after a judge ruled in favor of Rick’s ex-girlfriend, Lastonia Leviston, with a $7 million case victory after she accused Fifty of leaking a sex tape of her online at the height of their personal war of words. While the camp of Maybach Music wasn’t present to give their side of the story, we’ll be sure to keep a watchful eye on this story if anything develops.
