After being arrested and sent to Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, being placed in the general population, it seems like 6ix9ine has been transferred out.
As TMZ reports, federal authorities have taken Tekashi to a new detention center after asking to be in a unit away from the crips and bloods following threats towards him. He is now being housed in a unit with no gang members or “neutral inmates.”
Lace Lazzaro (6ix9ine’s attorney) said he was being transferred for “security reasons” but would not elaborate more than that.
TMZ alleges that this new facility is often where witnesses who cooperate with the feds, but there has been no indication as of yet on whether or not Tekashi has cut a deal in his racketeering case.
