A Look Back At Some of Dr. Dre’s Old Videos

Dr. Dre hasn’t had this much talk surrounding him since DETOX looked like it was coming out a few years ago, but it seems like Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre has officially put the city on the map again and stamped him to the forefront of music. Whether you like the album or not, one thing is for sure, you’ll always compare the new effort to the old ones. Considering DETOX is never coming out (for absolute sure now), Compton is all we’ll be getting, since it’s his grand finale.

Old heads may never fully accept Compton because they’ve been living with 2001 and The Chronic for decades, so what’s ever going to top albums that have gotten burn for over 10 and 20 years? Classics like that withstood the test of time and still bump like they did when they first came out. Shit, if you’re anything like us, either one or both of those albums get burn every other week. It’s a requirement, especially if you live on the West Coast.

So in the midst of new Dre material, we’ve decided to take you back to that classic West Coast shit that you should know all the words to, in case you needed a little refreshing and wanted to rock out with what made us love Dr. Dre music in the first place.

Plus, we can’t count out some of the young boys out there that might be hearing the good doctor’s music for the first time, as it is released to the world. We have to give them a little lesson right quick so they know what time it is.

Make sure you tell us your favorite Dr. Dre video in the comments too.
