RELATED: A Salute To Ludacris R&B Features
Considering Ludaversal just came out, before the album dropped, we were going through Ludacris‘ old catalog looking for some rap gems. Mostly because we wanted to play our all time favorite Luda song, “Blueberry Yum Yum.” From there we stumbled on to his debut album and made our way down the list and before you knew it, we had a playlist of songs that we could ride out to.
Most of these records are on the tough side that will rattle your trunk and should be played loud in a residential neighborhood. Even though we didn’t add all of his singles, we kept it more with the theme of songs deep in the albums. There’s a little of everything too. For every “Catch Up” and “Stick Em Up,” there’s a real hip-hop record (like the one with Common or Nas & Doug E. Fresh). For every “Splash Waterfalls,” there’s the DJ Premier-produced “MVP.”
So if you listened to the new album and wanted to go back in time with some classic shit, we got you covered with the Ludacris Rap Gems playlist. Peep that below and let us know what you think.
