A Salute To…. The Notorious B.I.G.

Rapper Notorious B.I.G., aka Biggie Smalls, aka Chris Wallac

It’s still hard to believe its been 17-years since the hip-hop world lost Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace. While his Los Angeles murder still remains a mystery, his legacy still lives on all of these years later through fashion and most of all music. It’s obvious that Biggie’s time in the game was extremely short-lived, but his Ready to Die and Life After Death albums can go head-to-head with arguably anyone’s best material; even today.

The timeless music he gave the masses is still being played nearly 20-years later, as we took time today to pay homage to the Brooklyn emcee (by way of Bedford-Stuyvesant), with a collection of his more darker and street-oriented cuts. With the exception of two tracks from his two closest peers in rap, you can enjoy your fix of Biggie Smalls audio for this Sunday.

Lick a shot and light one today for B.I.G.’s anniversary passing, with our playlist after the jump.
