A “Straight Outta Compton” Sequel Is In The Works

23rd Annual American Music Awards

Throwing up the Westside!

Hollywood isn’t going to stop with the ’90s West Coast rap films any time soon and it looks like the success of Straight Outta Compton has already spawned a sequel that will pick up where that left off. According to Daz (via TMZ), there is talks of a movie tentatively titled Dogg Pound 4 Life to be in production, telling the story of 2pac, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Nate Dogg and Suge Knight.

Although Dr. Dre and Ice Cube won’t serve as producers for the film, Cube has already given it the thumbs up. Curtis Young (Dre’s son) is set to play his father in the movie, but nobody from the Straight Outta Compton cast looks to be included in the film as of yet.

It is still in the very early stages and a particular name, Suge Knight, will be hard to get around, but he can’t be omitted from the film even with what he’s got going on in his own life. How he will involved (if at all) remains to be seen.
