Jimmy Winfrey will be serving 10 years behind bars over bus shooting
If you remember last April, Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot up outside of an Atlanta performance. Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, an affiliate of Young Thug seen in his “Halftime” music video has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and another 10 years on probation – as part of a plea deal.
According to the indictment revealed by TMZ, Winfrey used a cellphone owned by Birdman after the shooting, who’s being sued by Lil Wayne at the moment over a financial dispute with Ca$h Money Records. Jimmy pled guilty to 6 of the 27 counts in connection to the shooting, which are reportedly all gang-related. While both Birdman and Young Thug have denied having any connections to this incident, one person is going away for some time, with the possibility of parole shortly.
