Aaliyah posthumous album 2022 release date news emerges, as the estate and label for the late singer readies a single with The Weeknd. This year, Aaliyah’s music was finally made available on streaming services for the first time ever.
This marks the 20th anniversary since the Detroit singer’s passing, as it looks like Blackground Records is putting together a new project. A new posthumous album with Aaliyah is set to be released in early 2022 and will feature a few heavyweights in the game.
The likes of Drake, The Weeknd, Future, Chris Brown and the late great Static Major are some of the names set to appear on the pending effort. To kick things off, Aaliyah’s estate will be releasing her first single this weekend entitled Poison with The Weeknd.
