It’s crazy to think that this week marks the two year anniversary of Ab-Soul’s critically acclaimed Control System; but he’s been quiet from releasing projects ever since. Some could say that is largely contributed to Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city and ScHoolboy Q’s Oxymoron album, which dropped a few weeks ago. Although the TDE camp didn’t release a single project during the entire 2013, they have been hard at work this year with EPs in SZA’s Z, as well as Isaiah Rashad’s long-awaited Cilvia Demo. K. Dot has confirmed that his sophomore album will be released later this year, and a Black Hippy project is also near conformation.
Ab vented frustration about not being able to release his material after months of wanting to do so, but cooler heads prevailed after conversations with his TDE brothers. The man with the black shades revealed the title of his new album was These Days earlier, so expect that to impact soon.
