Alessia Cara has come a long way since breaking out with her debut single “Here” in April. Now with an EP out, she was ready to take the vitaminwater #uncapped stage in New York. Before the performance, The FADER spent the day with the Toronto singer, where she made some beats and travelled to the Def Jam office and Genius HQ. She talks about accustoming to the public eye and the pre-show ritual she does with her band.
