If you’ve been watching the award-winning television show Girls throughout the first and second series, you will know of their usage of notable music and the importance it plays in the story lines. However in last night’s 9th episode of the latest series, Marnie Michaels (Allison Williams) took on Kanye West’s hit single “Stronger” whilst adding her very own twist to it. Whether you’re surprised by the song choice or not, the decision to sing the track at her ex-boyfriend Charlie’s party is strange enough as it is. After Marnie’s inspirational discussion with Ray in the previous episode, it seems like singing isn’t such a negative career choice after all.
