Amazon Officially Launches Music Unlimited Streaming Service

Just when we lived in a world dominated by Apple Music, Spotify and TIDAL, Amazon has stepped up to the plate and launched their own platform for music. It has been months that rumors have been pointing towards this, but the company has made it official today with Amazon Music Unlimited.

So how does this differ from Prime Music? The service which comes with Amazon Prime only has about two million songs in the catalog. Music Unlimited will have a library similar to what its competitors in the market have already.

Those who own an ECHO speaker powered by Alexa will pay the cheapest rates, only $3.99 a month to pair it with your device. If you have Amazon Prime, you can subscribe to MU for $7.99 per month, or $79.99 per year. If you don’t have either, you’ll pay $9.99 for the service.

As you can see from the video above, you’ll be able to search by lyrics, playlists and/or describing what you want to hear with the help of Alexa and the ECHO speaker.

With millions of subscribers already in place, it’s safe to say Amazon will take a bite out of the fighting customer acquisitions in the streaming market.

It’s your move Apple Music and Spotify.
