The past few months have been somewhat of a whirlwind for Arcade Fire, thanks to the anticipation surrounding the release of their fourth album, Reflektor. A project that is expected to be included on many lists come the end of 2013, one of the standout tracks was “Afterlife,” which happened to be given a live music from Spike Jonze at the YouTube Music Awards. Today, we’re provided with the official visual for the desired single, following the story of a boy sneaking out into the night after the dad falls asleep. Reflecting on the assumed loss of the family’s female figure, viewers are given melancholic view of the world when she was alive.
