A$AP Rocky has been taking a lot of slack recently for comments he made on Black Lives Matter in an interview with Time Out New York last year. So this morning, the Harlem rapper paid a visit to The Breakfast Club to clear the air.
Rocky talks about people taking the interview out of context, and how people put him on a pedestal to talk about political topics when he doesn’t have the answers. “I wanna make music, I wanna inspire, I wanna promote peace,” Rocky says. “I’m not trying to run for congress, I’m not trying to run for office, I don’t have all the answers. I wanna promote prosperity, especially for black people, especially for just young people, ambition people.”
Rocky speaks on looking in at recent events from London, losing his dad and A$AP Yams around his album releases and more.
