Fans of a more alternative sound would probably class Beach House’s Bloom as one of their favorite albums of last year, building on the success of their previous albums. Coinciding with the move into 2013, the dream-pop band give us a visual representation of their track “New Year”, which was featured on their latest album.
Rather than spending big money on camera crews, expensive equipment and whatnot, the visual is simply a home video from their recording session at Sonic Ranch Studios in Texas. The footage featured was put together by Manuel Calderon, as a product of what the song itself essentially speaks in terms of memories and special moments.
Beach House’s Forever Still short film is set to be released at some point this year.
