Has Beyonce’s Surprise Project Been Ruined?

This packaging is too good to be true

Remember last month when DJ Skee confirmed an all JAY Z and Beyonce collaborative album was officially in the works? While the two are still only a few weeks removed from their North American and European On the Run Tour, more news surfaces from the Carter camp about an alleged all new Beyoncé compilation album releasing later this month. The rumored project was a four-disc reissue of her self-titled album from December 2013 and will come packaged now as BEYONCÉ – Volume 2 (digital) and BEYONCÉ: The Complete Edition (physical).

Unfortunately, the person who posted the fake tracklisting revealed on his twitter (see: tweet embed above) about the announcement being a hoax, but didn’t deny the album wasn’t in the works. The packaging detailed volumes one and two of her album series, as well as Mrs. Carter Show and ON THE RUN Tour performances.

Frank Ocean, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and S. Dot were showcased on the unconfirmed tracklisting, but that was before we knew of the hoax. Amazon Canada, UK, France and Japan all had international pre-orders up this morning for a November 24, 2014 release, but were quickly removed.

Another interesting note from the recent events today, is this was the original date Nicki Minaj had planned for her long-awaited The Pinkprint roll-out, before YMCMB rescheduled it along with Tha Carter V last week. At the president, neither of Queen Bey’s direct team or record company has confirmed the major 4th quarter project, but all signs are pointing to this four-disc compilation project being real. Stay tuned for more details to surface before November 24th arrives.
