New Krit album coming soon?
If you missed it yesterday, Big K.R.I.T. dropped 12 freestyles, where he ripped a few of your favorite rappers most hot tracks out. French Montana’s “Lockjaw”, Schoolboy Q’s “THat Part” and even Erykah Badu’s “Other Side of The Game” were all muses for K.R.I.T.’s freestyles.
After dropping a song every hour for 12 hours, he rounded off the night with a pretty big announcement: he’s no longer signed to Def Jam. Most likely this means K.R.I.T. will be taking the independent route, as many of his peers have done today.
During his tenure with Def Jam he released 2012’s Live From The Underground and 2014’s Cadillactica. Fans backed K.R.I.T. when it seemed as if he didn’t get a big push from the label, and who knows? That may be the reason for the split between the two parties.
You can view the tweets below, and catch up on his freestyles from yesterday here.
I want to thank each and every one of you for following & supporting me through out my career up until this moment. #12FOR12
