Big Sean might be from Detroit, but he was influenced by the West Coast from an early age. During an quick interview with Billboard, Sean Don named his favorite rappers from the left side of the country. Among those he picked (in no particular order) were E-40, Snoop Dogg, 2pac, N.W.A and DJ Quik. Some surprise picks in the mix, but the story he told about playing Doggystyle during Thanksgiving was classic. We have a story like that about pops finding Makaveli’s 7 Day Theory album one day (shoutout to Sam Goody for selling the CD to us at 10 years old).
