We won’t even front. When we first saw that Bilal‘s new track “Sirens II” was a cover of Adrian Younge’s “Sirens,” which Timbaland used for JAY Z‘s “Picasso Baby,” we were hesitant to click play. We regret ever feeling like that after the fact because Bilal KILLED this. When the beat first kicks in, all you can hear is Hov’s rhymes, but once Bilal starts singing, you would never think the song would be so soulful.
Don’t take our word for it, though. Peep for yourself and stay tuned for Bilal’s new album to drop in February of 2015.
