This is how he did for NPR’s CMJ showcase
Maybe you caught it, maybe you didn’t, but BJ The Chicago Kid was in full display at CMJ. NPR enlisted him NPR Music‘s show to bring that soul to the stage, live in New York. During his set, he gave the people a little of that Pineapple Now-Laters material as well as some of the new stuff he’s been releasing on his website and to cap things off, he covered the classic D’Angelo “Untitled” record.
