Not for nothing, but Black Milk‘s “Sunday’s Best / Monday’s Worst” single has been one our favorite Hip-Hop records this year. The soulfulness and how the track switched up about halfway through was something we fucked with.
For his new track “Perfected On Puritan Ave,” he does the same thing, except when you get to the break, he kicks it up a notch and hits us with a jazzy bebop-esque minute-long ensemble. Before that, he gives us a glimpse at his life growing up on Puritan Ave.
Stay tuned for Black’s No Poison No Paradise album to drop on October 15.
