Bobby Shmurda Could Be Released From Prison in February

We might see Bobby Shmurda in these streets sooner rather than later, considering he has a conditional date next month. The GS9 rapper may be released on February 23, 2021 according to online records from New York State’s Department of Corrections.

Bobby has been in prison since November 2016 due to weapons possession and conspiracy charges.

Although he was just denied parole recently, the Department of Corrections website states: “If the inmate is not released by the Parole Board at his or her initial appearance or a subsequent one, he or she may eventually be released by conditional release.”

This means the conditional release date will be determined by a committee of prison staff and they will look at Shmurda’s behavior and participation in programs. If so, they can choose to deduct “good time” off the sentence. Once released, he will have to live under the supervision of a parole officer.

Past infractions that Bobby had on his record could revoke his conditional release, though.

If the committee decides against his conditional release, Shmurda will likely stay in prison until he completes his sentence on December 11.
