It’s been an incredible year for Bryson Tiller. Not only did he release his True To Self album, but scored himself a guaranteed smash by featuring on DJ Khaled‘s “Wild Thoughts” with Rihanna.
In a visit out in the UK, Pen Griffey stopped by Tim Westwood to talk about how that record came about and more. He tells Westwood about what he’s got on deck, two projects that will be contrast from each other. He wants to separate his sound and give fans a little taste of his alter ego Godtilla, as well as make sure that people don’t put him in a box.
He also confessed to Tim about how he went into a dark place after releasing TRAPSOUL. He lost his confidence during that time because he was going through so much at that time, and he listened to the critics too much. After he came out of that, he wanted to start over and get his head right. Plus, he has to provide for his daughter so that motivated him to return to the creativity.
