Chano thanks Yeezy
Yesterday, Kanye West took time out of his busy schedule to publicly praise Chance the Rapper and his recent Coloring Book project – touting it as a masterpiece. Chano took time to properly react to the co-sign from Yeezy and hit up social media a few moments ago to show appreciation for one of his biggest music influences.
The Chicago rapper said he feels like he’s known the mad scientist since the College Dropout song “We Don’t Care,” and how it’s still unbelievable that the two are friends. After contributing to the stand-out TLOP single “Ultralight Beam,” we’re sure the two haven’t even reached the near cusp of what they’re capable of in the studio together.
Take a look at Chano’s unofficial thank you letter to Mr. West in full below.
My brother Chance!!! Thank you for letting me work on this masterpiece. One of my favorite people. https://t.co/V0ja6oDDoF

It's crazy cause I feel like I met Kanye the first time I heard We Don't Care. Like he's been there for me since 2004.

Kanye was there when I tried out for the talent show, the first time I knew a kid who passed away, the first time I got suspended

But still, every time I talk to him it feels foreign. I still get nervous and starstruck. I'm still surprised when he likes my ideas.

Part of what makes this duality work is because he is by definition "One of A Kind". Therefore I've always known him and will never know him

I'm content with that.
