We’re massive fans of Charles Bradley around these parts, so it was great to know that a follow-up to 2013’s Victim of Love was on the way. Following the title track “Changes” (a cover of Black Sabbath’s hit record) in November, the 68-year old singer who made a late breakthrough, returns with a brassy and soulful number called “Change for the World.”
Here’s what Bradley had to say about it:
“This world is in turmoil—guns, violence—people are feeling like they have no way out. Young people don’t know which way to turn. This song is about opening up our minds to understand—talk with the young people, hear what they have to say.”
His new album Changes is out April 1st via Daptone Records.
