A few weeks ago, comedian-writer-actor Donald Glover morphed back into Childish Gambino releasing new material for the first time ages with “Centipede.” While the team behind the scenes here has been wanting more Gambino music, we’ll have to settle with that track for now; but he’s back with more material hinting at future releases.
In late July, he released a viral teaser entitled “Clapping For The Wrong Reasons” which himself, adult film star Abella Anderson, Chance the Rapper, Danielle Fishel, Flying Lotus, and Trinidad Jame$ were featured in cryptic teaser. Initially we were thinking he would release a music video for the Centipede, but the teaser has now become a short film.
With his closest pears at his side in a summer house, Gambino is seen brainstorming ideas for new music briefly, trying to avoid drama in the midst of relaxation. Watch the 25-minute above, and look for more new Childish Gambino material in the near future.
