Chris Brown Proclaims That “Hip-Hop Is Dead”

Word, Chris Breezy?

“You know how they said hip-hop is dead, certain shit is dead? It’s really dead, you know, because nobody believes in the brand anymore. So it has to be, if we don’t do it, who gon’ do it? I’m like, fuck it, I’ll do it myself.”

The reason he said that, though, is because he’s comparing it to the golden days of big video budgets. He’s pretty much saying the labels are so broke that it’s in the artists hands to make shit happen —even if it’s killing their creativity and range of what they could do with lesser money.

Aside from that, he talks to FUSE about the producers he worked with on Fortune, and why he decided to put out a Rarities and B-Sides EP on iTunes.
