Like a lot of new music, we came across Cory Grindberg on Twitter after he announced the release of “Clockman.” Turns out we loved the track, so we posted it and found out he’d been behind tracks from Chicago emcees likes Lucki Eck$ and Saba as the collective CHAD. Picking up where he left off from last month’s song, the producer is back again with the excellent “Djimbo.”
Before, Cory was making beats with the sole intention for rappers to appear on them. But now, he’s realizing his sound for solo material with an aim to make “electronic music with the structure and intricacies of classical music.”
