DaBaby Formally Apologizes After Being Dropped From Festival Circuit

When he apologized last week, DaBaby did not do so for every comment made on that Rolling Loud stage. After a week of hearing backlash, people speaking out about his LGBTQ+ opinions and being dropped from multiple festivals, DaBaby has taken to social media to apologize again.

This apology seems more genuine and remorseful (penned by his publicist, most likely), but takes more accountability on what occurred last week.

In the message, DaBaby says he needs more education on these subjects and there are some who reached out to him to offer kindness, education and compassion. He also says that coming where he came from, under difficult circumstances and no education, there was no way he could be informed about the subjects.

Ultimately, it seems like he is learning or has learned from this lesson and will think twice before spreading misinformation.

The apology coincides with the fact the rapper was dropped from three festivals over the past week: Day N Vegas in November, Governors Ball and Lollapalooza.

UPDATE: Austin City Limits, iHeartRadio and Music Midtown Festival have dropped DaBaby from their respective festivals following his homophobic comments at Rolling Loud in Miami and subsequent apology yesterday.
