The new NBA season might be just around the corner, but Damian Lillard isn’t done with the music just yet. Today, Dame D.O.L.L.A. is sharing a new diss track called “Reign Reign Go Away,” which is aimed at Shaquille O’Neal.
“You had a moment OG, you the pioneer, but I done reached the top at this point and the climb is clear,” Dame raps. “All my bars is colder than any climate that’s near, so if you looking for the stop to the rain, you can find it here.”
The song is a response to Shaq’s freestyle (below), which was released following Lillard’s comments on The Joe Budden Podcast last month. “I think I rap better than Shaq,” Dame said. “I think he was viewed as Shaq. People weren’t looking at him like he was a real rapper. They was like, ‘That’s Shaq rapping,’ so of course it was a big deal.”
