Detroit rapper, Danny Brown saw much success last year with the release of his third studio album OLD, but is moving ahead at the peak end of 2014 for the next Bruiser Brigade project.

On the set of their upcoming “Smokin & Drinkin” music visual, Danny opened up on the forthcoming album wanting to recreate the “group album” genre of rap; stating too many artist want to be solo at the moment. After citing Boot Camp Click, Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang Clan as heavy influences, he revealed the 14-track project having zero features to focus on the group.

Before things closed out, Danny discussed his recent remarks on lyrics vs. non-lyrical rap, which sparked a rift between himself and French Montana. Watch above to hear his side of the issue and brief thoughts to improve the future of hip-hop.
