Coming up the the 10th anniversary of The Black Album, Life+Times managed to catch up with DJ Quik to discuss the creation of Jay Z‘s popular single “Justify My Thug,” which he happened to produce. Much like 9th Wonder‘s breakdown of “Threat” back in February, Quik spoke on how the collaboration came about, what inspired him to produce the actual record, the act of sampling Madonna and how she helped the process, his collaborative method with Hov and much more over the course of six minutes.
