It has been a crazy year for DJ Khaled and the power moves keep getting better. His We The Best label is now changing homes and is headed to Epic Records for the foreseeable future. The imprint had previously been distributed by Republic Records, but now Khaled is reuniting with L.A. Reid, who first brought We The Best to Def Jam when he was out there.
This move comes in time for DJ Khaled’s new album Major Key, which is coming later this year. According to Southside, the effort will have a track with Future and JAY Z.
The mogul has seen a wave of success lately through social media outlets like Snapchat and new ventures like his Beats 1 Radio show on Apple Music. He is looking to sign new artists, who already house the likes of Ace Hood and Mavado.
