In the past DJ Mustard had a rift with the producers of Iggy Azalea’s 2014 hit-single “Fancy,” citing they bit his style. While the Roc Nation entrepreneur kept it moving with making countless hits with YG, Big Sean and the rest of the game, we witnessed Jidenna emerge this year with the popular track “Classic Man.”
The producers of the previously mentioned Iggy hit took legal action against the Jidenna single for allegedly copying their instrumental. This prompted Dijon to publicly voice his opinion on the legal battle, saying the previously mentioned parties above both bit from him.
He recently conducted a brief interview with the Hot 97 morning show, to explain how he’s used influence from his forefathers Dr. Dre, Lil Jon and the Bay Area; but cited those were past classics that motivated him in the studio.
